There was a special guest visitor in Ms. Sedivy’s classroom to teach our students about the moths their family has been raising. 🦋
Students learned about two endangered species, the Cecropia Moth and the Polyphemus Moth, and were fascinated by their size, colors, and life cycle.
One of the highlights of the day was releasing two moths into the wild, giving students an exciting hands‑on learning experience and a chance to see these amazing creatures up close.
👏🏻 A big thank you to Kasey for sharing her knowledge and giving the class such a memorable experience!

🎶 Concert Choir Shines at Trills and Thrills!
The High School Concert Choir participated in the Valley Fair Trills and Thrills Music Festival on Friday, May 15th. The group performed two selections for a pair of seasoned adjudicators and delivered an outstanding performance.
Out of 15 ensembles performing that day, Cadott was the 10th group to take the stage, and the first school of the day to earn the highest possible rating of SUPERIOR! ⭐️👏🏽
One judge even wrote on the comment form:
“The best compliment I can give a group is that I wanted to be a part of it, and I did!”
Congratulations to the Concert Choir on a fantastic performance and a fun day of rides and shopping afterward! 🌟🎢

Our Automotive students have been hard at work this spring, taking on real maintenance projects with their own vehicles. They’ve completed oil changes, tire rotations, balancing, safety inspections, brake work, and more, all while practicing the skills they’ve been building in class. 🔧🚘
Each student has also been working toward nine SNAP‑ON certifications, including digital multimeter use, battery/starting/charging systems, and hand tool safety.
Our new workspace has been a game‑changer, allowing up to six cars in the shop on any given lab day.
This week’s standout project: an Impala that came in for a simple $30 oil change… and turned into a full‑scale job. Students tackled brakes, front hub and wheel bearing assemblies, new shocks and struts on all four corners, and sway bar links. A huge confidence‑builder, and once it’s wrapped up, it’ll head out for an alignment. 🚗💪

Cadott jumped out to a 4 to 0 lead before Regis came back to take a 6 to 4 advantage. The Hornets answered in the seventh to go up 9 to 6, but Regis tied it at 9 with a three run home run.
Cadott refused to back down. The Hornets scored 5 runs in the eighth and held strong to secure the 14 to 9 victory. It was a night full of ups and downs, but the resilience and teamwork stood out from start to finish.
🔥 Standout Performances

• Isaac Wellner collected 3 hits and made several strong defensive plays

Another strong performance last week by the Cadott varsity baseball team with a 10–0 win over Whitehall in five innings. Aiden Rykal was dominant on the mound, allowing only two hits and recording six strikeouts in the complete‑game victory. 👏🏻⚾
Cadott’s defense stayed sharp behind him, with Joel Weeks throwing out a runner attempting to steal and Isaac Wellner making a solid play to turn a double play. At the plate, the Hornets put the ball in play and applied pressure with aggressive baserunning.
A solid all‑around game for the Hornets! 🐝

🥛🔍 Students in our Agricultural Processing II class have been busy identifying a variety of dairy and non‑dairy products. This hands‑on activity helps them build real‑world knowledge about food processing, product differences, and the role these items play in our everyday lives.
It’s a great blend of curiosity, critical thinking, and agricultural learning in action! 👏🏻

🔤✨ Word-Building Challenge in Mrs. Mengel’s Class!
Random letters and digraphs were written on sticky notes, and students had to create as many real words as they could using what was on the board. If a word wasn’t spelled correctly, those letters went right back into the letter bank for another team to try!
Teams raced to build the biggest word list, and things got so competitive that they ended up with a challenge round… which ended in a tie… which meant one more game to crown the final winner!
A highly engaging activity that had every student thinking, collaborating, and having fun with words. 💛📚
