🤼♂️ A Big Day for the Cadott Wrestling Club 🤼♀️
The Cadott Wrestling Club had an amazing day hosting its home meet in Cadott on Sunday, January 11th. The club extends a huge thank you to all the parents and community members who helped make the event such a success.
The meet offered countless opportunities for the 90 youth wrestlers in attendance to practice the values the program teaches. Although Cadott did not enter an official team as the host school, Cadott wrestlers made a strong statement on the mat with an impressive total of 57 pins recorded throughout the day.
Across all levels, solid effort was on full display as wrestlers battled from the opening whistle to the final handshake. It was inspiring to see teammates supporting one another throughout the gym as they moved from mat to mat. More important than the results was the sportsmanship shown. Wrestlers demonstrated respect for opponents, officials, and the process regardless of the outcome.
It was a proud day to be a Hornet parent, wrestler, coach, or fan and a powerful reminder that when effort, toughness, and doing things the right way come first, results will follow.
The dual team now looks ahead to competing at the Battle by the River Duals this Sunday in Wisconsin Rapids. Go Hornets. 🐝💪 🏆
Results from the day:
1st Place Finishes: 19
2nd Place: 18
3rd Place: 23
4th Place: 19
5th Place: 11

🎨❄️ A Special Surprise for Cadott Kindergarten
A Cadott alumni created the sweetest gift by turning the Kindergarten students’ artwork into real hats. While learning about vertical and horizontal lines, the students designed their own patterns, never expecting their creations to become something they could wear.
The surprise on their faces said it all. Their artwork came to life in the most adorable way.
Our Kindergarten class is incredibly grateful to the alumni who made this possible and wished to remain anonymous. Thank you for the time, care and creativity you put into every hat. They turned out absolutely precious. 🫶🏽

Singing in Wisconsin! 🎤
🎶 Two extraordinary middle school students, Carson Chapek and Alaina Rykal, proudly represented Cadott at the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association’s annual event, Singing in Wisconsin. This statewide celebration takes place in four locations on the same weekend at the same time. Students participate in a youth choir, a middle level choir, and a high school choir. It was a fun‑filled day of learning music and performing in a concert that very evening.
To make the day even more special for our hornets, Terra Larsen, Cadott’s very own choir director, served as one of the guest clinicians at the Northwest location on the UW‑Eau Claire campus. She conducted the Middle Level Choir and also led the combined choir of about 190 students. After a full day at the university, she raced back to Cadott to direct the Saturday production of Freaky Friday.
Congratulations to Carson, Alaina, and Mrs. Larsen for shining so brightly and sharing their talents with our community! 🫶🏽👏🏻

🎭 The cast and crew of Freaky Friday want to give a huge shoutout to everyone who came out to support the musical! They had an absolute blast bringing this story to life!
Wonderful performance, Hornets! 👏🏻

Students in the middle/high school library’s maker space are using the Meta Quest 3S and Adobe Medium to design and sculpt in virtual reality. 🔨
Once their designs are complete, they’re able to print their creations using the library’s 3D printers. VR sculpting is just one of the many opportunities available in the maker space.
Students can also create VR animations in Quill and VR paintings using Open Brush. We’re excited to see what creative ideas continue to come to life in this space! ✨👏🏻
