What a day in Unity! On a cold and rainy afternoon, the Cadott Hornets Boys Cross Country team battled the elements — and the competition — to claim the WIAA Division 3 Sectional Championship!
This marks their first trip to state since 2006 and only the second Sectional title in school history. Facing powerhouse programs like Cameron, Regis, and Unity, the Hornets showed grit, depth, and heart — edging out Cameron by just five points with a team total of 76.
💪 Top Finishers:
• Beau Steinke – 2nd
• Jacob Pilgrim – 7th
• Saibyn Will – 10th
• Jonathan Phelps – 24th
• Garrett Engel – 33rd
(+ Kaden Roen 35th & Klayton Handrick 73rd pushing hard for crucial spots!)
“This was the definition of teamwork,” said Coach Yeager. “The cold, the rain, the delay, none of it shook them. They ran for each other. Every runner, every point mattered.”

🎃 A Special Visit and a Pumpkin Surprise! 🎃
Mr. and Mrs. Boettcher visited the school bringing smiles and generosity with them.
Mr. Boettcher, a former school board president, and Mrs. Boettcher, who leads the after-school reading program through Drywood Church, arrived with a heartwarming gift: pumpkins from their very own patch! Thanks to their kindness, every kindergarten student was able to take a pumpkin home.
We are deeply grateful for generous neighbors and local farmers who help create memorable experiences for students. 🫶🏽

🤖 The Cadott Programming Club has an exciting round of AI Wars going on, where students compete to create the best solution using different AI models. These two programmers were deep in the challenge, testing which model could outperform the other!
Each week, the club introduces a new technology, and students select an AI model to tackle the task. It’s a fun, hands-on way to explore tech tools and learn how different models approach problem-solving.
📆 The club meets Tuesdays from 3:00–5:30 PM and Thursdays from 3:30–5:30 PM in the Cadott High School Library. New members are welcome anytime through May—come when you can!
