National Honor Society is a nation-wide organization of students who have demonstrated high levels of academic achievement, leadership, service, character, and community involvement. Cadott's NHS organization is comprised of students who have been selected from the following criteria:
- Spring of sophomore year eligibility
- Cumulative GPA 3.5 or higher
- Ranking from entire faculty, averaging a score of 35 or higher
- Application addressing leadership, service, and community involvement
New members are inducted in the spring each year through a formal induction ceremony before the high school student body. History has shown that former National Honor Society members have become effective and contributing citizens in professional, technical, humanitarian, civic, and commercial undertakings.
NHS spends its year supporting charitable organizations: Cystic Fibrosis; raising money for the Special Olympics through the Polar Plunge; and participating in the Highway X cleanup. Individual members are also responsible for finding and completing service activities approved by the faculty council.
